FAQ

Q. My garden is filled with mole hills, How many moles do I have ?

A. This is a question we get asked alot and is always difficult to answer over the phone. Once we have carried out a survey an indication will be given to the amount.

Q. How do I stop other Moles from returning once they have been trapped ?

A. This will depend on the food source in the area where the moles have been trapped. For problem areas we would recommend a monthly Mole Control Contract.

Q. I have pets, are the traps safe ?

A. This will depend on the pets at hand, Dogs and Cats can dig up the traps, It is always recommended to keep pets away from areas where the traps are laid, This will also help speed up the trapping process. A Risk assessment is always carried out prior to any traps being laid.

Q. Are the traps you use humane ?

A. In short, Very! Our traps have very powerful springs and the mole is dispatched in an instant.

Q. Can you live catch and relocate the mole ?

A. As Humane as this sounds it is anything but ! The mole has to eat its body weight a day in worms. Trapping him alive would cause stress that would kill the mole. Relocation would also cause a similar problem as the mole would have little time the re dig a new tunnel system.

Q. Help! I have moles. What should I do?

If you're considering our professional mole control services, there are a few important steps to take before scheduling an appointment. First, please refrain from clearing any molehills. If you’ve already removed them, we recommend waiting until at least five new molehills appear before booking with us. Clearing molehills can make moles more cautious and harder to trap effectively. Additionally, if you’ve attempted to manage the moles yourself—whether through traps or other methods found online (which are often ineffective)—please remove all such devices or materials and wait at least one week before contacting us. This waiting period allows the moles to settle back into a predictable pattern, improving the success of our treatment. Once these conditions are met, feel free to reach out to schedule your appointment!

Q.I have moles and use a robot lawnmower. What should I do?

If you’re considering our mole control services and you use a robot lawnmower, there are a few important steps to follow before and during the process. Robot lawnmowers can disrupt mole activity by flattening molehills and disturbing their runs, which may make moles more cautious and harder to trap. To ensure the best outcome, we recommend turning off your robot lawnmower and leaving any existing molehills undisturbed. If you’ve recently mowed over molehills, please wait until at least five new ones appear before scheduling with us. This allows the moles to re-establish their habits. Additionally, the robot lawnmower must remain turned off throughout the duration of our treatment to avoid interfering with the process. Once these conditions are met, please reach out to book your appointment!
